The Master of Medicine (MMed) in Obstetrics and Gynecology is a four-year, hospital-based specialist training program designed to prepare physicians for comprehensive care of women’s reproductive health. The program combines structured academic instruction with progressive supervised clinical and surgical training in obstetrics, gynecology, and related subspecialties. It emphasizes competencies in maternal and fetal care, safe childbirth, emergency obstetric care, gynecological surgery, and reproductive health services, alongside research and quality improvement training, preparing graduates to serve as competent obstetrician-gynecologists within Rwanda’s health system and beyond.
