The Master of Medicine (MMed) in Neurology is a five-year, hospital-based specialist training program designed to prepare physicians for the comprehensive diagnosis and management of neurological disorders. The program combines structured academic teaching with progressive supervised clinical training in neurology and related disciplines, including exposure to neurophysiology and neuroimaging. It emphasizes competencies in stroke care, epilepsy, neuroinfectious diseases, movement disorders, neuromuscular conditions, and acute neurological emergencies, alongside research and quality improvement training, preparing graduates to serve as competent neurologists within Rwanda’s health system and beyond.
