Kigali, Practicing at Teaching Hospitals
The Master of Medicine (MMed) in Dermatology and Venereology is a four-year, hospital-based specialist training program designed to prepare physicians for the comprehensive management of skin, hair, nail, and sexually transmitted diseases. The program combines structured academic teaching with progressive supervised clinical training in dermatology and venereology, including exposure to dermatopathology and procedural dermatology. It emphasizes competencies in diagnosis and management of common and complex skin disorders, sexually transmitted infections, dermatologic emergencies, and chronic dermatologic conditions, alongside research and quality improvement training, preparing graduates to serve as competent dermatologists within Rwanda’s health system and beyond.
