The Master of Medicine (MMed) in Clinical Pathology is a four-year, laboratory-based specialist training program designed to prepare physicians in the diagnosis and management of disease through clinical laboratory medicine. The program combines structured academic instruction with supervised training in areas such as clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and transfusion medicine. It emphasizes competencies in laboratory diagnosis, interpretation of test results, quality assurance, and clinical-laboratory integration, alongside research and quality improvement training, preparing graduates to serve as competent clinical pathologists within Rwanda’s health system and beyond.
