The Fellowship in Adult Endocrinology is a subspecialty clinical training program designed to develop advanced expertise in the diagnosis and management of endocrine and metabolic disorders in adults. Delivered over 2 years through hospital-based training, the program combines structured academic teaching with supervised clinical practice in endocrinology units. It emphasizes competencies in the management of diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and metabolic bone disorders, alongside training in diagnostic evaluation, long-term patient care, research, and quality improvement, preparing graduates to serve as specialist endocrinologists within Rwanda’s health system and beyond.
