Kigali, Practicing at Teaching Hospitals
The Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology is a subspecialty radiology training program designed to develop advanced expertise in image-guided minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Delivered over 2 years through hospital-based training, the program combines structured academic instruction with supervised clinical practice in vascular and non-vascular interventions using modalities such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and angiography. It emphasizes competencies in angioplasty, embolization, vascular access procedures, and interventional management of a range of clinical conditions, alongside research and quality improvement training, preparing graduates to provide advanced interventional radiology services within multidisciplinary care teams in Rwanda and beyond.
