Kigali, Practicing at Teaching Hospitals
The Fellowship in Body Imaging at the University of Rwanda is a subspecialty radiology training program designed to develop advanced expertise in the imaging and interpretation of thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic diseases. Delivered over approximately 1–2 years through hospital-based training, the program combines structured academic instruction with supervised clinical practice across imaging modalities, including ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). It emphasizes competencies in diagnostic interpretation, image-guided procedures, multidisciplinary collaboration, and clinical decision support, alongside research and quality improvement, preparing graduates to provide high-quality imaging services within Rwanda’s health system and beyond.
