The Fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery is a subspecialty clinical training program designed to develop advanced expertise in the diagnosis and surgical management of female pelvic floor disorders. Delivered over 2 years through hospital-based training, the program combines structured academic instruction with supervised clinical and surgical practice in urogynecology services. It emphasizes competencies in pelvic organ prolapse management, urinary incontinence treatment, female pelvic reconstructive surgery, urodynamic evaluation, and minimally invasive pelvic procedures, alongside research and quality improvement training, preparing graduates to serve as specialist urogynecologists within Rwanda’s health system and beyond.
