The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Anatomy at the University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, School of Medicine and Pharmacy, is a research-intensive doctoral program designed to develop advanced expertise in human anatomical sciences, including gross anatomy, histology, neuroanatomy, and developmental biology. Typically undertaken over a minimum of three years, the program is delivered through independent, supervised research complemented by advanced scientific training and academic dissemination. It culminates in an original doctoral thesis that contributes to anatomical knowledge and its applications in medical education, clinical practice, and biomedical research, preparing graduates for careers in academia, research, and health sciences education.
