INFORMATION FROM STUDENTS OF GLASGOW WHO ARE DOING STUDENT-STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM IN SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY.
"Hi, I am Graeme! I am a BDS4 student at Glasgow University. I decided to visit the University of Rwanda for my elective after hearing about the amazing time my colleague Katy had last year. I have a particular interest in Paediatric Dentistry and wanted that to be the focus of my elective project- luckily so did the rest of the team! I've had a great time so far working with the university staff/ students and exploring the beautiful city of Kigali. I am really proud of the project we have produced alongside BDS4 that focuses on children's oral health. I am also proud of how much fun we had making it! My time here has been amazing, rewarding and so memorable and I can't wait to return here in the future. Murakoze!"
"Muraho! I'm Rebecca and I'm currently in BDS4 at the University of Glasgow. I chose to come to Rwanda on elective as I thought working with the students here would be challenging yet rewarding. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the BDS4 on our project, informative oral health videos. I would like to thank all of the BDS4 students who gave up their time to participate. Another highlight has been helping the BDS5 with their paediatric clinics. It has been an honour to meet all of the students who are so dedicated and are the bright future of Rwandan dentistry. Thank you to all of the students and staff who were so welcoming and accommodating of this visit and project."
Last year the students from the two institutions developed video for self-screening of oral cancer. These year two more videos will be developed
