2. UR-CMHS Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Ethical Clearance is granted by the UR-CMHS IRB on request after submitting protocols in electronic form at least 2 weeks before scheduled monthly IRB meeting date, to UR-CMHS IRB secretariat email address : researchcenter@ur.ac.rw
3. Rwanda Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences
The Rwanda Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences is a peer-reviewed journal of the University of Rwanda indexed with Africa Journals Online (AJOL), that aims to publish on a quarterly basis (four times a year). The Rwanda Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences publishes articles that have relevance in various health related fields including but not limited to medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, public health, nutrition, health management and policy, and other health sciences. The Journal accepts quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods studies, evaluated for their scientific rigor and validity. The journal may publish conference proceedings or special editions.

4. Priority Research Areas
The College of Medicine and Health Sciences conducts research in different fields of medicine and health sciences, with emphasis on key priority areas : communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, nutrition, mental health and environmental health.
5. Support Services
The Directorate of Research and Innovation UR-CMHS offers support services to academic staff and students, including :
Regular information on opportunities for research grants and research training scholarships
Support to research groups in grant writing
Support to researchers in manuscript writing
6. Main Research outputs
Each month, ethical clearance is granted to research projects.
Each year, the academic staff of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences publishes at least one hundred articles in peer-reviewed journals
Starting in 2019, Rwanda Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences is published on a quarterly basis.
